The Show:
Our standard show is The Middle Ages Show with one performer.
The show covers Europe and the Middle East from 300AD to 1600AD (or C.E. if you prefer)
Each standard show is 90 minutes long but it can be varied to meet school timetable requirements
The show is performed indoors (in hall, classroom, library, or any suitable space).
The show is divided into modules to allow greater flexibility.
Here is our recommended and most popular show.
- Introduction of performer and background history from 300AD to 1066AD
- A re-telling of the Battle of Hastings as an example of a medieval battle. A number of the student’s amour up as either Norman’s or Saxons and we interact with them to demonstrate the experiences of life and the battlefield.
- The Feudal system and its structure.
- Medicine and mortality of the middle Ages.
- Courtly Love. Explain the role of men and women in the middle Ages and how marriages were arranged.
2 students will participate in a role play re-enacting courtly love
- The Role of women and famous women in the middle Ages. *The Role of men and knights in the middle Ages.
- Hands on time. Students will be encouraged to pick up, examine, and try on pieces of equipment.
- (Except they are not allowed to play with the weapons)
